"Doula" is a Greek word meaning "servant-woman". They are non-medical people who are trained to serve women before, during and after childbirth, as well as their partners.

As your Doula, I can support you in the way YOU need support. Sometimes that comes in the form of a light reassuring touch, positive words, evidence based information, or just an open ear. I will not take the place of any partner involved. My job will be to assist with the birth, and provide the partner support as well in order to make the birthing experience memorable for everyone.

Having a Doula is associated with less medical interventions, less pain, and shorter labours! Everyone needs a Doula!
